Step 1 - Get Pre Approved!  Each state is different but all require some sort of mortgage pre approval from a licensed mortgage lender. This pre-qualification is your ticket to go house hunting. 

Step 2 - Work with an experienced licensed realtor and review everything you are looking for.  We have many great realtor partners throughout all our licensed states and beyond. Realtors will have great home searching tools far more accurate than Zillow or Redfin.  Their home searching sites or portals can be customized to your specific wants and needs. Your Realtor should take you to see homes privately or at scheduled open houses. They are also working hard to get you the best home for the lowest price.   

Step 3 - Is it a Sellers market or a Buyers market? Are you making offers fast or do you have time to negotiate the sales price and terms? When the offer is accepted you will get a signed sales contract and the countdown to your move in date begins.
